This charming town, cozily situated in the forests of Kosciusko mountain, is being a very popular place of rest not only among the Australians, but among many tourists, dreaming about healthy rest. Along with large numbers of skiing resorts, which are open in winter, Tredbo is rich in entertainments for the whole year.

Standing nearly in 1400 meters above the sea, the town seems to be very similar to a Swiss countryside, with all its narrow mountainous streets, laid among the skiing routes. It’s not hard to get to Tredbo – the town is situated less than in 500 kilometers from Sydney, and the way through the Alpine Road will be a veritable pleasure.

Tredbo was found in the sixties of the nineteenth century, after the first beds of gold were discovered here. But the countryside has never been rich in gold, so the mining works were stopped in the thirtieth years of the last century. Some years later, when skiing sports became more popular, the development of the city proceeded. The first stage was building an Alpine Road.

Tredbo can offer various entertainments as a tourism town. The rope road will heave you up for six hundred meters, straight to a restaurant, where such amazing sights like Snow mountain and green valleys are seen. Such services like golf club and tennis court will provide you very nice rest. If you want some adventures, you won’t miss – a mountain bicycle, riding horses paragliding and so on – it is only a beginning of the summer season.

What about skiing and winter season, Tredbo can’t brag of much snow. Sometimes it is just not enough of it to cover the terraces. However in such cases, like in all European resorts, a special equipment helps, which means that snow and happiness will never end.
